Rollie Olie Poke bowl and Sushi Roll

Dos Amigos. ($14.95) Grilled Eel, Cream Cheese, Avocado, Cucumber, Jicama, Red Roe, Tamago, Tempura Crunch, Chives and Eel Sauce.

Aloha Poke. ($12.95) Salmon & Tuna, Mesclun, Avocado, Cucumber, Tamago, Purple Onion, Spring Onion, Alfalfa, Flying fish roe, sesame seed with classic soy sauce and sushi rice.

Patisserie G - PG Dome

This PG Dome looks seriously like a poke ball plz!! It consists of yuzu mousse, raspberry balsamic compote and almond sponge.  The white part is yuzu mousse and the red part is raspberry compote. I think it is because of the yuzu and raspberry that you get a tangy aftertaste when you take a spoonful of the cake. :)

What I eat in a day at home

 1) Red Velvet Pancake! I quite liked it. I bought the beet root from the super market and tried to blend it. It is really difficult to blend the raw beet root so i tried to cook it until it is soft then blend it again. I didn't see the pre-cooked ones at the cold storage though. Anyway add the blended mixture into the pancake mix and blend everything again. You will get a redish pink mixture. :) Added maple syrup to my pancakes.

2) Bought the hokkien noodles from sheng shiong and i used my lobster broth to make soupy noodles! Comfort food for me. :)

3) Korean Army Stew. Bought the chili powder and Gochujang from a korea super market in Novena. Those are essential in making the soup. Really satisfied my cravings for Budae Jjigae (Army Stew).

Katto Pokebowls and Tiong Hoe Specialty Coffee

Ok so one north is quite near to NUH which is where i always go for dental appointment and Katto is a relatively new pokebowl place? I think less than a year? Their pokebowl looked so good so i decided to check it out during lunch hours which is a BAD idea coz it is so crowded. Did not expect super lunch crowd at Galaxis Building. Um.. apparently the OL and OM there super rich.

I ordered the regular sized poke bowl which cost me $12.90. I get to choose 1 base, 2 fish mains and sides. Topped up $1 for the onsen egg. The 2 sides are miso butter corn and pickled mushrooms. The 2 sashimis are Classic Shoyu Salmon and Creamy Goma Tuna. This is by far the best pokebowl i have tried so far. The ingredients are so fresh and so flavorful with creative Asian variations.

I also went to Tiong Hoe Specialty Coffee where i ordered a matcha cake and a cafe latte. This cafe is situated amidst the HDB estates. They also provide free wifi so it's good to bring your work there to do while sipping hot coffee and eating cakes. :)

Chirashi Don at Tanuki Raw

Chirashi don. There's a mix of seasonal and staple fresh sashimi such as sea bream, tuna, swordfish, salmon, striped jack, and salmon roe, seasoned with their signature sauce, served with Tamago and Tanuki Raw's Signature rice. Everything is so fresh too. They mixed up my order and serve mine with salad though so they gave me an extra bowl of rice with no extra charge. 😉

Salted duck egg char Siew. Not exactly tender seasoned nagono pork belly char Siew, onsen egg, mixed mushroom and golden salted duck egg hollandaise sauce over sushi rice.

Superstar roll. Mentaiko sauce negitoro over crispy mozzarella cheese, topped with seasoned tempura flakes and tanuki raw's oko sauce. I like that the tempura flakes gives this sushi roll that extra crunch which is unlike normal sushi.

Mini Unicorn cakes at Boufe Boutique Cafe

I am not sure what they are famous for leh.. but they had the unicorn cake, galaxy cake and blue flower pea tea when it is trending and it still is. They also had a very nice entrance that is prefect for #ootd and also a minimalism white interior. Very instgrammable indeed. We were there when it is quite late so we only ordered the unicorn cake and other items are quite pricey. $9 for one mini unicorn cake, but still it is still worth it for the perfect Instagram post.

Mini unicorn cake consists of coconut mousse, mango cremeux, vanilla sponge, white milk glaze, white chocolate horn and ears. Do take note the horn is supported by a tooth pick inside.

Chateraise - Double Fantasy Cream Puffs

I like what i have eaten so far from Chateraise! As usual, i bought them from their Toa Payoh outlet. This is the only one that allow cafe-goers like me to dine in, but then i brought this home to eat la.. cos i was sick that day. XD  I tried the Double fantasy cream and matcha puff! Look at the amount of cream~ so so good! Can't wait to try the others! For the double fantasy cream, there's an almost equal light hokkaido cream and custard within the choux pastry. Self explanatory for the matcha one. Link to the previous post.

The 1872 Clipper Tea Co. (ION Orchard) Tea Puffs

I got the matcha, earl grey, eternal garden, and milk tea. Good to pair these tea puffs with a cup of tea or coffee for tea break. I liked that the crust is not too thick and they are actually quite generous in the cream filling. The bottom of the puffs kinda leaked? Wise to be careful when eating this. It can get quite messy. I don't have any preference when it comes to which one is more yummy? They're all good!

What i eat in a day - Weekend edition Pt 2

1) Pandan Pancake for breakfast! So you know Pandan repels cockroaches, and it is also widely used in food as coloring and for extra flavor! I blended some pandan and added it into my pancake batter~ thus the pancake became green!

2) Made tomato rice 🍚 for lunch! I basically added 1 cup tomato purée and 1/4 cup of diced tomatoes into Japanese rice. I also added cumin and basil. I gotta say the taste is not strong. I probably need to add something else.

3) Dinner is something simple. I did not make the pesto from scratch. You can buy ready made ones in cans from the super market. I added broccoli and crab sticks cos just pesto is boring. haha

How to make Steamed Pandan Rice?

I basically put the cleaned pandan leaves into a blender and sieve it to get the water. Next step is to put the pandan water into the rice cooker. I do not think the pandan water is enough to cover the rice thus i added another cup of water. The end result is this glorious pandan rice with a hint of pandan fragrance. I also added mixed vegetables and salmon to complete this dish. I want to try making some tomato rice next time!

What i eat in a day - Weekend edition

1) I made some breakfast for myself!! I have cherry tomatoes, baby carrots, baby corns, hams, enoki mushrooms, scrambled eggs and 2 pork sausages. Is this healthy enough? More vegetables than meat though.

2) Made some tumeric cinnamon japanese rice bowl? I basically have the same ingredients except for broccoli. The spices does make a rice a very nice yellow color that is good for photos but taste wise? Does not do anything. LOL. Any recommendations to make it yummmy would be nice? I posted this on instagram and someone suggested adding nuts and raisins.

3) I bought some onsen eggs from the 7-11 store. Whipped up a noodle soup bowl with pretty much the same ingredients as well except for the crab stick.
