RECIPE: Easy Lemon Pasta with Chicken

Chicken pasta Recipe adapted from http://www.foodnetwork.com

Tbh, I have never added kind of fruit to my pasta dishes before. This is the first time i am adding lemon juice to the pasta. This recipe is interesting as there isn't any kind of sauce to it but lemon juice adds a hint of zesty taste to the overall taste. It is different and definitely refreshing. Didn't add red pepper flakes as i don't like spicy. I also feel like 1 lemon is enough for 1 serving.

REVIEW: Craftsmen Specialty Coffee at Novena

My friend wanted to meet me for dinner the other day so i suggested this cafe called Craftsmen Specialty Coffee which is located at Novena. It's situated beside United Square and also  near to Udders. It was a weekday night but the cafe isn't crowded at that time. I think it must be because of the location and also the time i went there to eat. I was there around 7pm.

Anyways besides that, i enjoyed eating their White wine prawn spagettti  very much! Pasta was al dente and the prawns were succulent~! I have never had white wine sauce before but couldn't really taste any difference. There were also parsley, chili flakes, Parmesan and cherry tomatoes. It was overall a satisfying pasta dish. We also ordered orange juice, instead of coffee/tea as it was dinner time. Will have to visit another time to try out other dishes. :)

RECIPE: 7 Quick and Easy to make Pasta Dishes

If you look at my past posts, you will know that i love noodles so much! I love pasta the most! They're very easy to make and super market sells all kinds of ready made sauces from tomatoes, Carbonara to Alfredo and pesto. We no longer have to make our own sauces, but then if you have extra time you can make your own yummy version too. I bought 3 huge packs of brown rice pasta from I herb recently so i am making pastas everyday. Anyways, I want to share 5 recipes that is easy and do not take very long to make. Here goes:

1) Linguine Napolitan with garlic and feta cheese: If you love ketchup as much as i do, you will love this recipe! This easy to make pasta dish requires ketchup. linguine, garlic and feta cheese. Not that many ingredients and only simple ketchup to make yummy pasta.

2) Pasta with garlic and oil (Aglio Et Olio): This one is even better! You only need garlic and oil for this simple and quick meal.

3) Pasta with Chicken, pesto and olives: Pesto is another one of my favorite sauces! Olives adds to the overall taste of the pasta making it rather interesting. It also provides a different texture to your dish as it's quite crunchy.

4) Linguine with Tomatoes, Olives, Garlic, and Feta Cheese: This dish is quite similar to the Aglio Et Olio but with a different twist! I added olives and feta cheese. There are alot of variants to this dish so think out of the box and add any ingredients that you like.

5) Pasta and Olives: This one is adapted from Jamie Oliver's recipe. I feel like adding the brine adds more depth to the already sweet taste of the pasta sauce. :) This is easy to make and only take no less than 15 minutes.

6) Quick creamy chicken pasta Simple mushroom soup can also be used as pasta sauce. It is just so easy and good for people who wants a quick meal.

7) Easy Lemon Pasta with Chicken Tbh, I have never added kind of fruit to my pasta dishes before.

REVIEW: Grin Affair at Bishan - Mousse cake

Oh, so after my lunch at Canopy Garden Dining, I headed to Grin Affair which is also in Bishan for some deserts. First impression of this cafe is that it is really nice and cozy! It is also quite quiet with only 2 girls when i arrived. There's only 1 worker in this shop when i was there.

I ordered the peanut fudge cake and it was half filled. >.> I also ordered ice latte which i have to top up 50 cents to make it iced. The mousse cake was mediocre. The whole cake is literally frozen, even the peanut is hard. You can clearly see that the mousse cake is filled to the brim in their website, and now you compare with my picture. Paid $5 for this shit. <.<

Maybe they have other food items that are yummy but my main purpose there is to try out the mousse cake.
