REVIEW: Good Ramen Restaurant in Tokyo: Mutekiya Ramen 麺創房無敵家 at Tokyo, Japan

While visiting Sunshine City in Ikebukuro, I embarked on a quest to uncover the top ramen spot in the area. The sight of the lengthy queue outside Mutekiya Ramen 麺創房無敵家 speaks volumes about its popularity! The line, which extends onto the sidewalk, attests to its status as Ikebukuro's premier ramen destination. To manage the crowd, they cleverly divide the queue into two parts. As you wait, the staff kindly hands you a menu to peruse, adding to the anticipation of the meal to come.

For anyone in the vicinity, this is an absolute must-visit! It's undoubtedly worth braving the hours-long wait. My recommendation? Aim for a mid or late-afternoon visit to coincide with dinner time, ensuring you won't miss out on this culinary delight. Personally, I queued until past 9 pm!

Address: Japan, 〒171-0022 東京都豊島区 南池袋1丁目17-1
Opening hours: 10.30am - 4am everyday

After enduring over an hour in line, I finally reached the entrance, feeling both famished and fatigued from the wait. A small suggestion: perhaps offering seats for weary customers during the wait would enhance the overall experience.

Opting for their signature dish, the Nikutama Ramen, I was treated to a bowl brimming with succulent char siu, eggs, negi leeks, bamboo shoots, dark green vegetables, and springy, medium-thick noodles. However, the true star of the show was the remarkably flavorful tonkotsu broth, which I eagerly slurped up every last drop of.
