REVIEW: Good Cafe food in Singapore: Chye Seng Huat Hardware Coffee Cafe at Tyrwhitt Road

So a while ago I and my friend went to Chye Seng Huat Hardware (CSHH). It is an old hardware store converted into a cafe. They also have a workshop/shop on the second floor that sells handmade stuff. They are super famous so be sure to come early or avoid lunch hours as it is crowded. The Nearest MRT station is Bendemeer MRT Station.

Address: 150 Tyrwhitt Rd, Singapore 207563
Opening hours: Mon - Thurs 8.30 am - 10 pm
Friday 7 am - 10 pm
Sat-Sun 8 am - 10 pm

Chye Seng Huat Coffee Menu

A picture of the barista making the coffee.

I ordered one of these special cold brews! The barista says we can't take the bottle home. LOL. It is so unique. Never seen any cafes serve coffee like this before. Taste-wise.. it is very subjective. I find it... COLD and bitter. Definitely won't order this again!

I ordered these 2 from their breakfast menu which is available until 4pm.

PAPA'S BREAKFAST
Pork sausage, scrambled eggs, portobello mushrooms, tomato jam, homemade toasted bread, butter, salads
Choice of eggs: scrambled, sunny-side-up, over-easy, sous vide

I like the pork sausage, scrambled eggs, and homemade toasted bread. The pork sausage was springy and firm. Scrambled eggs were soft and creamy, but could be more flavourful. The toasted bread was fluffy and soft and was so good with the butter.

SHROOMS & TOAST
Creamy mixed mushrooms, multigrain toast, crispy bacon, sun-dried tomatoes, grated parmesan

This ticked all the boxes for umami! I like how they have different textures here such as bacon, tomatoes, and mushrooms.
