REVIEW: Mu Parlour

This is another cafe that ladyironchef has been to! It is located at Holland Village. It is at the second floor of some shop house. I do not think anyone would spot it if they did not look up. Anyways here's the address :

16 Lorong Mambong, Singapore 27767

I suppose they're quite new as i visited during mid noon and there's hardly any people around. Their servers are comfortably dressed in track pants. Not sure if that's how servers should be dressed in a cafe but nonetheless that is not not a concern. lol

I ordered their MU breakfast. They serve brunch food all day long so anyone can check out the cafe til their closing. I like how i get alot of food for $16. This is definitely worth my money. This includes 2 poached eggs with hollandaise sauce, french fries, spicy pork and veal sausage, streaky bacon, brioche and greens.

Coffee wise. This is ridiculously bland for a mocha. Please do not order this. order something else!

Cakes were average. I ordered a classic red velvet cake and lemon meringue tart. Did not manage to finish either one. lol

If you're going for the food, it is alright but coffee and deserts were average.

REVIEW: Yellow Cup Coffee

I was feeling sad after exams. I thought to myself that i need to go have some good food and I saw that ladyironchef posted a picture of a cuppa from there. Yes he is that influential. So i went there to have my late lunch!

Nice place but not very easily accessible. You can walk from china town mrt or clark quay mrt. I went to their Central Square outlet.

Address: 20 Havelock Road #01-09 S059765

I was there at about 2-ish so there are not many people and soon i was the only customer there. Nice place to chill!

The cafe was aptly decorated with yellow stuffs as their shop name is yellow cup coffee. Notice the yellow chairs, flowers and small ornaments.

I ordered a hot mocha and I love it!

I ordered this twin salmon nest. It is basically twin Poached Eggs sit on luscious nests of Smoked Salmon Coupled with toasted Sourdough and Salad Mix. The egg was too raw to be called a poached egg. It looks more like a half boiled egg to me!

Salmon was nice though! Would be better if there's more salmon for the price i'm paying. Sourdough and salad mix is good as side dishes.

REVIEW: SUNDAY FOLKS

Headed to Sunday Folks for an afternoon coffee break!

They are located at

Chip Bee Gardens #01-52, 44 Jalan Merah Saga, Singapore 278116

You can take a short walk from Holland V mrt.
I ordered waffles with sea salt gula melaka ice cream while my friend ordered roasted pistachio. As you can see, there's chocolate caramel drizzle around the waffle and also some strawberries and blueberries. Waffle is so goooooooood! As you take a bite on the waffle, the inside is not 'airy' at all as what my friend would have said. The texture is just right - chewy and good! I hope to go back to try out other flavors next time!

Oh I tried their Mocha too. Coffee is not bad.

The place is kind of packed though. But you see the food's good, so thats why it can manage to attract such a crowd. Do pop by early as you may just be put on a waiting list!

REVIEW: Les Patisseries cafe

Went to this up and coming new cafe on 2 occasions. I live nearby so i should probably go there more often. haha. Will definitely recommend my friends to go!

Anyways this is their address:

Toa payoh central block 186 #01-428 , Singapore, Singapore S310186

Bad thing is that their cafe is quite small! Good thing is that they're quite new so there's no queue at any one point of time. They should probably add more tables and chairs outside of their cafe soon!

Their ice mocha with chocolate drizzle at the side of the glass though the chocolate should probably settle beneath so i can stir it easily as its bitter.
This is their truffle baked mushroom pasta! This is so good, as you can see the portion is big and the sauce is so yummy.

Hot mocha on a cold rainy day is awesome!

This is one of their special waffles. its called horffles! Waffles with horlick drizzle, ice cream, strawberry, cranberry and blueberry! I never see this anywhere before so let me know if you can find this anywhere! Needless to say this is as yummy as the picture below looks. haha.

REVIEW: Habitat Coffee

Decided to try this out since it was in Ladyironchef's list!

They're located at

233 Upper Thomson Rd, 574355

They're super famous as i was put on their waiting list when i was there on a weekend afternoon. Place is cramped and small but their food was awesome! This is really a place for you to dine and go and not a place for you to chill and relax as its noisy!

Coffee was not too shabby and i tried this the big ben. It's basically scrambled eggs, honey baked ham, toast, chicken sausage, tomatoes and mini potato pancakes. Scrambled egg was on point! It was moist, soft and light. And their potato pancakes are nice and crispy.

Although it is a crowded place, you could always call in advance and make a reservation! :)

UPDATED REVIEW: Rider's Cafe

Im back to update about my latest food adventure!

This time we went to Rider's cafe. It is located at:

51 Fairways Dr, 286965

6466 9819

OPERATING HOURS
Sunday – Thursday 8am – 9pm
Friday & Saturday 8am - 10pm

Closed on Monday

We alighted at a bus stop at Dunearn Road and then walked in from Eng Neo Avenue.
Poor people like need to
take public transport. :( As we don't drive, we had to walk in and it is a LONG journey.
The road aren't exactly people friendly.
I suggest people who are going there to drive in.

The place is located beside ranches and you can probably see some horses outside the window.

The decor is nicely decorated and place looks cozy for a lovely afternoon brunch.

I suggest you can try this.

UPDATED:

So I went back to riders cafe again since it is so famous!! Apparently they changed the menu for below recommended dish!

There are no more huge chunks of swimmer crab, no shrimp

hollandaise sauce!

I am not sure why the menu was different on Sunday.... and their website shows the same menu i saw last year?

Latte was inconsistent!! My one was light colored.. most lightly stirred and the other one was brownish.

So they changed up their awesome dish!! WHY?!

Smoked salmon was one of the worst i had. so salty!! It can be compared with the one i had in Tian kee and Co.

Crab cake was soggy.. and i doubt it is fully made with swimmer crabs.

I don't think i will be back anymore. The effort i put to get there is not worth for this kind of food i am paying for. :(

PACIFIC BENEDICT WITH SWIMMER CRAB, POACHED EGGS,SPINACH
AND SHRIMP HOLLANDAISE

Theres a pleasant surprise underneath the eggs. You can see huge chunks of crab meat. yum yum.

REVIEW: Group Therapy Cafe

Hello!!
This time round I am going to introduce this awesome cafe!
It is located at :

49 Duxton Road
#02-01
Singapore 089513
Opening hours are:
Mondays: Closed
Tuesday - Thursday: 11am to 6pm
Fridays - Saturdays: 11am to 11pm
Sundays & PH: 10am to 6pm

It is best if you visit on a friday or saturday where they open till late!

It gets busy during mid noon time. If you're near outram park mrt or chinatown mrt, you can make your way to this cafe to chill or just to hang out with friends.
This cafe's specialty is their all day breakfasts! I tried their poached egg with salmon and it is just heavenly~!
Their salmon is fresh and off a good proportion. (Now just a thin slice of salmon) The poached egg is good as well. Not over cooked and under cooked. The sauce they used is hollandaise sauce and it compliments the whole dish very well. :)

I will definitely go there again!
